We wake up at 11 PM. The sun shine in an uncloudy sky. Our shoes are nearly dried. The temperature was so high this night that we slept very bad. We cross the canyon on a bridge that Mørdre indicated us. We then ski 6 hours in a succession of bumps and hollows that seemed to never end. 6 hours for 12 km! We finally reach the earth, at 9 h 30 AM. But that's not the end. Kangerlussuaq is at 33 kilometres. We burn the extra food and we put all our stuff in our backpacks. We put the two norwegian pulkas inside the french one with some stuff too. Each one, we have 35-40 kg on our shoulders and by turns we pull the pulkas that weight 20 kg on the grassy ground. We pitch the camp on a little hill just near the ice cap and we try to dry our equipment. We just sleep in the open. |
