Of course, this is a key point for success in such a project. It has to be as light as possible, reliable and warm.

Based on our previous experiences, we selected the optimum to have the minimum to haul and the maximum to endure cold conditions (-25 to 0 °C) mainly during the bear observation periods. However, we made no weight restriction on the mediatic equipment. We took two cameras equipped with strong lens and a digital video camcorder.
