By the end of april 2001 Emmanuel Eggermann, Pascal Luthi and Alexandre Masselot were heading towards Svalbard. The goal of this new trip was to get to the eastern side of the main island, spend some time on the ice to spot the king of Olav V land: the polar bear

The plan was to be dropped by skidoo at some place, and then to ski unsupported for two weeks, pulling in sledges (pulkas) all the equipment to survive in a desert arctic area.

Everything was perfect, and we were able to discover an earth paradise in very good conditions.
