Hints and tips about polar travel
Here are some details to change for next trip. This is mainly for personal use.

6.5 liter of unleaded fuel were burned in 13 full days for three people
improvements on the sledge belt (closing system, braces)
better skin stick (must be redone perfectly before departure)
2 screw snap (people and sledges ropes) + one simlpe on the sledge + one simple for the ice screw
surbottes are better than gaiters
forget Avocet watch
different food rations (smaller and bigger ones depending on the appetite)
pan >2 liters for 2 persons with the heavy rations
only serious pieces to fix the tent (no mix)

route
points should be entered before the trips, but not typical points (like summits...). In this way, the routes can be plotted before, and there is less measurments and calculations inside the tent.
a good boat compas should be carried for fog navigation (specially alone or with the sail)
better system to store the wire for the bear mines
more tea and beef "bouillon"
zippo+matches
waterproff system under the tent if the temperature is not very cold
a bigger mess tent
an inside sleeping bag in microfiber
1/2 chemical heater
a spare pole (specially for a many people party)
a better rolling up system fro the kite
a emergency stopping system for the kite (on the brake)
a comfortable harness for the rifle (this point is important)
